Maryland Infant and Toddlers Program

The Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) has mandated early intervention services for eligible children from birth through two years of age. The Maryland Infants and Toddlers Program (MITP) was established to provide these early intervention services and is administered by local boards of education. The available services include: assistive technology, audiology, case management services, family training/counseling, health services, medical diagnostic/evaluation services. Nursing services, nutrition services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychological services, social work services, special instruction, speech-language pathology, transportation and vision services.
