Responsive Training Symposium (Training of Trainers)

The Responsive Training Symposium meets the Office Of Child Care's (OCC) "train the trainer session" training requirement for approved trainers. Workshops are sequential. You must complete Part One before you can take Part Two.  The fee for each workshop is $100 and includes breakfast, lunch, and materials.  There is a discount should you register for all three modules in the series in advance.  To receive information on our next TOT Responsive Training please call Consuelo at 410-752-7588 ext. 274.

PART ONE: INTRODUCING RESPONSIVE TRAINING

9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The first in the three-part series, it will provide participants with:

• An introduction to interactive and creative training techniques
• An emphasis on training basics – goals and objectives, logistics and needs assessment

PART TWO: USING INTERACTIVE TRAINING TECHNIQUES

9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The second in the series will build upon the information from Part One by providing :

• An understanding of how to provide meaningful adult learning experiences,and
• Training methods to respond to participants’ needs

PART THREE: EXTENDING EXPERIENCIAL LEARNING

9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The third in the series, will provide trainers with:

• An enrichment of their understanding of the cycle of experiential learning
• An understanding of practical training pitfalls
